R&R In South Luangwa National Park!
Recently my family and I with two visiting extended-family members went to South Luangwa National Park in Mfuwe, Zambia to enjoy some rest and relaxation among God's beautiful wildlife creation. So here are some of the best photos from that trip. Enjoy!
We stayed at Croc Valley Camp along the Luangwa River, the camp is situated with many other lodges and camps right next to the park and some even sit inside the park.
Once in the camp we were greeted by some friendly animals. Here is a female bushbuck.
The next day we all headed into the park bright and early for a full day of game viewing.
The first thing we saw that morning was a pride of lions, sadly they were far from the road so this was the best picture I got of them. Still an incredible sighting nonetheless.
Two bull elephants enjoying a morning drink at the river.
We saw many different antelopes. (Above: Male Impala. Below In Order: Female Puku, Male Kudu, Female Waterbucks, and Male Waterbuck.)
Near Mfuwe Lodge in the park we found a Hippo Pond will several Hippo Pods.
In the afternoon we came across a very active watering hole. Here are the best photos from that experience.
Later on we saw a hyena by itself.
We enjoyed a lunch at Marula Lodge.
We were visited by elephants at Marula Lodge.
On our way back to our lodge we enjoyed a sighting of giraffe.
Overall we had a very relaxing time in South Luangwa. Later on I will be posting the best photos from our Night Game Drive.
